Aboriginals were the first human inhabitants of the Australian continent. The symbols of the Aborigine be seen by them as a communication tool. These symbols are nowadays still used by them, especially in initiation rites. Around 1972 arose the Aboriginal art, a commercial mixture of Western painting and dot painting.

Dot painting (painting in dots) is the traditional drawing and painting techniques of the Australian Aborigines and was applied to rocks, tree bark and sand. From the twentieth century with acrylic paint and painters canvas. Dot painting is used to tell a story. The paint is applied on the canvas with the aid of a stick.

This workshop takes approx. 3 hours and is lot of fun to do, always with a surprising result.
